Howlite

Howlite is named after the 19th century mineralogist Henry How as he first discovered this stone in Nova Scotia, Canada. 

Howlite is almost always found in masses of boitroydal nodules. Only rarely is it found as crystals, and they are very small. It is naturally white or colorless, but is often dyed in a rainbow of colors, especially for beads. It is found in Turkey, Germany, Mexico, Russia and Canada.
